Sangiovese

These clones of Romagna and Tuscan Sangiovese are sustainably farmed and planted at high density (4,500 plants/ha) on clay limestone at 80-150m above sea level. Grapes were harvested in the second half of September and fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, where the wine remained to age for six months to retain its pure fruit character and freshness. Bright ruby red with a nose like a basket full of black cherries and wild red berries. On the palate the wine is savoury and full of vibrancy, with ripe but present tannins providing great structure.
